![]() Following up on Bill's comment, I just called the tile place and unfortunately they said it is in fact a glazed tile (he said something about full-bodied?)and that makes removing the shine more difficult. On the plus side it is a very handsome floor. Sheet vinyl/lino would have been the better choice for low-maintenance. A "no fuss" floor is not something this floor will ever be. You have a beautiful hex tile floor which now requires some serious elbow grease and a great grout/tile scrubber + cleaning agent. I've had all my home owners ask me how I got their gray grout white.they had forgotten the grout in their bathrooms was white. This is a job I save for once a year.and the scrubbing = 1/2 of scrubbing.but it works. ![]() If I can't get all the colour out in one go.I reapply over those areas and allow to sit for another 1/2 hour. Not ideal but it works.I've seen 10 years of "gray" come out of grout just by using this product. I find the ammonia in the product bleaches the SNOT out of the grout. I then come back and scrub like mad with a B-mop or something that I can really lean into the mop handle. I use 1/2 bottle at a time (smell is nasty with that amount) and leave it on the floor for 1/2 hour or more. I've used Lysol Scrub Free for bathrooms.
